You see your cover and the first two pages fully drawn before you pay; the rest are drawn right after payment, and a person checks every page before it prints.Your photos are yours. Never used to train any model, never sold, and deleted from our servers within 14 days after your book ships.
1 · CHOOSE YOUR BOOK
Start here - pick your size. Every book is black-and-white inside with a full-color cover. Your choice is highlighted; tap another to change it.
Print specs: US Letter 8.5 × 11 in portrait · matte 60 lb paper - made for pencils and crayons; heavy markers can show through, so slip a sheet behind the page · perfect-bound spine · B&W interior, full-color cover · every book needs at least 14 photos (a 32-page minimum - we never pad a book with blank pages). Photos of at least 1000 px on the short side draw the cleanest lines - we'll gently flag any that come in smaller (they still print).
2 · UPLOAD YOUR PHOTOS
The order you add them is the order of the book. Drag a photo, or use the ‹ › buttons, to shuffle the order. You'll write each page's words in the next step, right inside the book layout.

Content & safety. Colors of Life turns your photos into a personalized coloring book. By uploading, you confirm you own or have permission to use each photo and that it contains no sexual, explicit, or abusive content, and no sexual content involving minors. Uploads are automatically screened; anything flagged is blocked and not printed. If a book is blocked or rejected for safety or policy reasons, a non-refundable US $10 image-generation fee applies (the pages and cover were already generated) and the rest is refunded. Unlawful or inappropriate images may be reported to the authorities. We report suspected child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law. Misuse ends access to the service.
Featuring your book. You grant Colors of Life by Declan a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use the artwork we create from your photos (coloring pages and cover) and images of your finished book — including the illustrated likenesses as they appear in it — for advertising, press, social media, our website and product pages, packaging, and other promotional purposes, at no cost to you. This does not include your original photos, which are used only to make your book, and we won't use your name. Prefer we not feature yours? Email hello@colorsoflifebydeclan.com. Click the photo for the front cover and the one for the back cover. The covers are full color; the pages inside are always clean line art.
Your front cover shows in the wrap; the back cover carries the promo. Both appear in the book preview (step 5).
4 · WRITE YOUR COPY, IN THE LAYOUT
Type straight into the book below - your words flow into the real Lulu template live, right next to each picture. We suggest a lead-in, title, and caption for each page from your photo, and you can edit every word.

5 · REVIEW YOUR FULL BOOK
Here is your whole book laid out in the real Lulu print template - covers, opening note, every page with your copy, and the thank-you. We fully render your cover and the first two coloring pages here so you can see the real quality. The rest are rendered in full after you pay, for your final review before it prints.

7 · YOUR PRINT-READY BOOK
This is exactly what prints - covers, opening note, every coloring page, and the thank-you. Look it over, then submit it for final review. Every order is reviewed by a person before it prints - this can take up to 24 hours - so nothing goes to the printer until it's checked.
